Jade Hærem Aksnes graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory in 2014 as a Master of Fine Arts in Directing. Prior to this she completed her studies in Norway with a BA in Film and TV Production, specializing in Directing, and a MA in Film Analysis.
Jade has written and directed many short films, amongst them «GOLDEN THREAD» which screened at 22 film festivals in the US , Europe and Asia, and won 10 awards including «Best Narrative Short«, «Best Directing» and «Best Screenplay«. She has recently finished her two latest short films «PUSHING NIGHT AWAY» that so far has been named official selection by 15 international film festivals in Europe, US and Australia and won 5 awards for»Best Shortfilm«, «Best International Short Film» and «Best Screenplay» and «THE RESTRICTOR» that has just started its distribution.
Based on her film production, Jade was awarded the Establishment Scholarship for Outstanding Artists from the City Government of Bergen, Norway in 2014, and an Artist Grant from the Norwegian Arts Council in 2015 and 2017.
She is now developing her first feature film project.
